Wintu Educational & Cultural Council of Northern California, Inc.
The Wintu Educational & Cultural Council is a Native American Non-Profit organization. We strive to keep our cultural heritage alive and thriving by educating the younger Tribal generations and the community what we’ve learned from our elders. Our traditional life ways, crafts, food sovereignty and stewardship practices are vital to sustainability. Interpretive demonstrations are provided during our cultural events. Cultural presentations and workshops are provided to k-12 grade levels in the local school districts. Our artists are skilled teachers of their crafts and enjoy sharing techniques.
