Nimely Pan African Dance Company
The Nimely Pan African Dance Company is a community based company located in Oakland, CA that focuses on the study and teaching of cultural heritage and traditional performing arts. It is led by Nimely Napla, master dancer, craftsman, costume designer, and choreographer who as the former director of the Liberian National Troupe has extensive knowledge of Liberian culture.

Poro Project
The PORO PROJECT is an introduction and immersion into the folkloric culture and traditions of West and Central Africa for boys and men. Funding will support a three-day event including dance workshops for boys and men, a community panel discussion on the significance of male representation in African dance, and a community demonstration.
