Through the collective constructive reconstruction, preservation, and reconnection of Afro-Diasporic histories to Afro-Descendant students and their communities, participants gain a comprehensive historical understanding of their cultural heritage; a trait that has been proven to improve academic performance as well as mental health and well-being.
