Jesus Martinez

Jesus Martinez is a producer/engineer and requintista based in Los Angeles, CA. He began to play requinto at the age of 11 under his father’s instruction. The requinto is a unique tenor guitar with latin roots and classical background. Later on he commenced his academic career at Berklee College of Music finishing with a BA in Production & Engineering. The Breakfast Table Sessions is a video series of live concerts hosted by Jesus Martinez. This was created during the pandemic when live music came to a stop. These sessions offer a platform for artists to have high quality recordings (video and sound) for communities to enjoy free of charge. They specialize in showcasing dwindling genres, instruments and musical techniques. They have platformed many genres including son jarocho, boleros, and Oaxacan brass.
