The Indigenous Community Initiatives and Tribal Youth Program at Sherwood Valley Band of Pomo Indians (formerly, The Indigenous Youth Foundation and the Tribal Youth Program at Sherwood Valley Band of Pomo Indians) provides cultural and environmental programing for youth and families. These include storytelling events; traditional foods workshops; basketweaving and cultural material workshops; and culture camps.

Acorn Conference and Gathering

Indigenous Community Initiatives and Tribal Youth Program at Sherwood Valley Band of Pomo Indians will host the first California Acorn Conference in Mendocino County, in the traditional territories of the Pomo People. The event will feature presentations; traditional foods; an Art Opening highlighting “Acorn Baskets and Tools” and “Acorn Arts”; hands-on workshops, including basket making and acorn preparation; and acorn tastings.
