Mexican Heritage Corporation

Mexican arts and culture

The Mexican Heritage Corporation serves the Silicon Valley and Northern California by presenting and advancing Mexican and multicultural performing arts.  The Mexican Heritage Corporation (MHC) has been presenting, producing, and promoting the dance, music and visual arts traditions of Mexico for over twenty-five years, creating opportunities for individuals and communities to celebrate, share, and sustain the vitality of Mexico’s ethnic and traditional cultural arts and multicultural arts within the region. Their work promotes the importance of cultural heritage for strengthening ethnic identity and community.

MHC has produced the San José Mariachi and Mexican Heritage Festival for over 18 years.   They also produce Mariachi Youth Education and Pee Wee Mariachi, arts education programs for grades K-12.  MHC is also the home Los Lupeños de San José ballet folklorico company.

In 2010, MHC received a grant from ACTA’s Living Cultures Grants Program to support the mariachi workshops at their 19th Annual San José Mariachi and Mexican Heritage Festival.
