About the Organization

Generaciones en Acción (Generations in Action / GEA) aims to mobilize the immigrant community in Los Angeles to become leaders in their families and communities, and to promote a culture where immigrants understand, defend, and speak out for their own rights as human beings. GEA helps multi-generational immigrant families and organizations access education, trainings, and cultural activities that contribute to their personal well-being, professional development, leadership skills, and community impact. Through storytelling and intentionally holding space where intergenerational interactions are fostered, GEA unites generations of immigrants through improved communication, understanding, validation and mutual respect within the family and the community.

Si te RIES, GOZAS: Gratitud y Risoterapia Theatre Play

GEA will produce an interactive, Spanish-language, theatrical performance for all ages, which touches upon “laugh therapy” and the importance of practicing gratitude. The performance will encourage audiences to question, analyze, and challenge their own beliefs and assumptions, fostering a deeper understanding of emotions and their role in human experience.
