El Wah Movement
Haitian dance
Founded in 2005 by dancer and choreographer Colette Eloi, El Wah Movement, which means “movement of the soul,” presents traditional Haitian folkloric dance and fusion pieces using traditional African movements to create choreography that applies to modern life.
In 2008, a contract from ACTA’s Traditional Arts Development Program hired consultant Muinat Kemi Amin to create and implement a marketing plan for El Wah Movement, including press releases, press kits, an organizational brochure, marketing strategies, and a fundraising plan.
