Cantonese Opera Association-Silicon Valley

Cantonese Opera Association-Silicon Valley, a nonprofit organization established in 2001, is a presenter and educator of the most well-known and popular type of Chinese Opera.  There are over 300 different opera styles in China, relative to the region from which they originate.  Cantonese opera music is a blend of classical Chinese instruments with contemporary Western instruments, creating beautiful and romantic music, evolving from over 5,000 years of history.

In 2012, Cantonese Opera Association-Silicon Valley received support from ACTA’s Development Program to send their founder and executive director, Wun Mark, to the annual California Presenters Artist Information Exchange in Los Angeles.
