About the Organization
Founded in 2023 under the direction of Susana Villalón, the California Academy of the Arts is a place where creativity thrives. The academy offers programs in music, dance, theater, and visual art, providing young artists with a supportive and inspiring space to discover and develop their talents.
Susana Villalón is a passionate advocate for cultural arts, with deep roots in dance and community tradition. She is also the founder of Ballet Folklórico Rey Colimán (est. 2021), where she plays a vital role in preserving and sharing the richness of Mexican folkloric traditions.

Funding will enable Ballet Folklórico Rey Coliman and the California Academy of the Arts to continue preserving and promoting Mexican cultural heritage. It will support arts education, provide scholarships, enhance performances with costumes and equipment, and expand community outreach, ensuring accessibility and cultural enrichment for all.
