Brian Shields, is a senior student of Capoeira Angola at Mestre Themba’s school. Practicing closely with Mestre Themba and other instructors, Brian overcame severe burnout through Capoeira Angola. His journey back to clarity and productivity through this traditional art form resonates deeply with today’s overstressed young adults. Brian also organizes the Quarterly LA Angoleiro Social—a unique gathering where capoeira practitioners connect beyond training to share stories, challenges, and successes. This event fosters authentic relationships, community support, and a culture of mutual upliftment beyond the road. With a strong background in organizing large-scale events and workshops, Brian brings both strategic and cultural expertise to this work.
