Inna Razmakhova

Ceramic art, traditional Russian folk art of ceramic toy-making.

About the Artist

Inna Razmakhova is a California-based ceramic artist whose work bridges storytelling and craft. Born in Turkmenistan and shaped by her mixed Russian-German roots, she discovered her passion for clay while studying art at De Anza College and San Francisco State University. Drawn to the expressive power of traditional craft, Inna found a deep connection to her heritage through folk ceramics.

She is especially devoted to the whimsical, time-honored art of Russian clay toy making—a folk tradition that resonates with her roots and spirit. To deepen her understanding of this craft, she traveled to historic pottery villages in Russia to learn directly from master artisans. Today, she shares this tradition through community workshops and teaching.

Her award-winning ceramics—including the Center for Cultural Innovation Encouragement Grant and the College of Liberal & Creative Arts Scholarship—have been exhibited in California and internationally, and are held in both public and private collections.
