Mostafa Akhavass is a renowned Persian artist specializing in gilding (tazheeb), calligraphy, nail painting (Nakhon Neghari), enameling (minakari), ceramics, and miniature painting. With over 40 years of experience, he blends traditional techniques with a unique artistic vision. Akhavass has taught at leading Iranian universities, including the University of Applied Science and Technology and Alzahra University. He has received numerous accolades, including the 2014 Asia’s Living Treasures Award, an Honorary Doctorate from the Iranian Ministry of Art, and first-place awards in international exhibitions. His works are held in public and private collections worldwide. Akhavass remains an influential figure in the world of Persian art, continuing to innovate and inspire through his practice and teaching.
