Modesto Cambodian Buddhist Society
The Modesto Cambodian Buddhist Society is a beacon for the Khmer community, preserving the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Cambodian people and supporting sustainable progress for growth and prosperity. With its support, the Cambodian classical dance troupe grew from six beginners to 40 trained dancers. It inspires youth to achieve academic success rooted in values-based Khmer traditions. Seeking to ensure equality and civic engagement, it is also active in voter registration and education.
As a grantee of ACTA’s Community Leadership Project in 2013, the Modesto Cambodian Buddhist Society received core operating support and capacity building training over three years.
