On June 12, ACTA’s Reentry through the Arts program, Son De Libertad, will present a community celebration led by the Afro-Colombian percussion class at Homeboy Industries. The instructors and students will celebrate the culminating class day with a community jam session, and we’d love to see you there!

The celebration will highlight the musical themes and techniques of Afro-Colombian percussion that participants and instructors have explored together over the 18-week program. They will share music in three rhythms: cumbia, garabato, and chalupa! Join us in celebrating the amazing work of the students!

When: June 12, 2019, 3:15 – 4:00 PM

Where: Homeboy Industries Lobby
130 W. Bruno Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012

This event is free and open to the public.
