Trinity Center for Music
South Indian Carnatic violin
Master Carnatic violinist Anuradha Sridhar established a music school, Trinity Center for Music, in 1989 in the San Francisco Bay Area. What began as a tiny Sunnyvale studio with three students has grown into a music school with several committed senior students. The mission of this school is to groom stellar students of music and to serve and propagate the esthetics of Carnatic music in the United States.
In 2008, a contract from ACTA’s Traditional Arts Development Program allowed Trinity Center for Music students to participate in a 15-day workshop on Ragam, Tanam, and Pallavi — techincal aspects of Carnatic music — with master Carnatic violinist Srimathi Brahmanandam.
