Thapasya Arts is dedicated to raising awareness of the rich cultural traditions of Kerala through its classical art forms. The organization aims to build a sustainable platform in California for those interested in learning, practicing, and performing these traditions. By presenting live performances by eminent artists, Thapasya Arts seeks to celebrate the vibrancy and diversity of Kerala’s cultural heritage while sharing the ethnic talents of California with audiences around the world.
Samanwayam 2025
Funding will support Samanwayam 2025, a program presented by Thapasya Arts San Francisco featuring local and international artists in October 2025 in the Bay Area. The event will highlight Kathakali, an ancient Indian classical dance-theatre form. The grant will help cover venue rentals, artist fees, technical support, costume rentals, transliteration, and promotional materials to ensure high-quality performances and broaden community engagement with this traditional art form.
