MESTO
For the past decade, MESTO (Multi-Ethnic Star Orchestra) has engaged the Arabic community in Southern California by providing high-quality concerts, live events, and educational programs. MESTO combines the melodies and rhythms of the Middle East within a Western symphonic setting, creating a unique blnd of these musical traditions. MESTO accomplishes this thanks to the masterful touch of its award-winning composers and arrangers, and its core membership of Los Angeles professional musicians. As a result, MESTO has acquired recognition in the United States, the Middle East, and throughout the world as a leader in contemporary world music.
In 2011, as a participant in ACTA’s Development Program, MESTO worked with Eddie Young Illustration and Design to produce a 4-minute promotional and educational video.
