Al-Juzoor Dabkeh Troupe
Palestinian dabkeh
The dabkeh is one of the most popular Arab folk dances, widely performed at weddings and other joyous occasions. As participants in ACTA’s Traditional Arts Development Program in 2006, the Palestinian dabkeh dance troupe Al-Juzoor Dabkeh Troupe traveled from San Francisco to San Diego to attend a performance by the El-Funoun Dance Company of Ramallah, Palestine. Al-Juzoor also attended the company’s dress rehearsal to meet the company and artistic director.
