Organization Description:
A grantmaking program for San Francisco Bay Area artists that invites artists and nonprofit organizations to create new art works through collaborations.

The Creative Work Fund, a program of the Walter and Elise Haas Fund that also is supported by generous grants from The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and The James Irvine Foundation, celebrates the role of artists as problem solvers and the making of art as a profound contribution to intellectual inquiry and to the strengthening of communities.  Artists are encouraged to collaborate with nonprofit organizations of all kinds in the creation of new art works.

Every other year the Creative Work Fund has a dedicated application category for traditional artists; some folk & traditional artists may also be eligible to apply to the performing arts category.

Restricted to artists and organizations in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Monterey, Napa, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, or Stanislaus Counties.
